Troubleshooting:Windows Search Service Automatically Disables on Restart (Win7 Professional - 64)

Windows Search Service Automatically Disables on Restart (Win7 Professional - 64)

My environment is Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit.
The issue I am having is with Windows Search Service.
It remains in Disabled mode every time the computer is restarted.
I have to manually go and set it to Automatic for the Search features to work.
 I
have also tried setting it to Manual and Automatic (Delayed), but always shows up as Disabled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
