Acer Aspire laptop battery not recharging when plugged in, running Windows 7
Hi all, i want to ask about my notebook's battery meter...
My notebook's battery meter/indicator doesn't increase / move up when it reaches 85%....
It happened yesterday, i wanted to charge the battery because the notification showed that the battery meter had reached 10%
then, i plugged in the AC adaptor...
after 2 hours(usually my battery will be fully charged in 2 hours although I open many heavy programs such as Windows media player, Mozzila, etc), i thought my laptop's battery already fully charge / 100%..
but it wasn't
fully charged...
only 85%....
then I let it charged for a few hours again maybe it would be full....
but it didn't change significant...
only increased 1% into 86%
I tried again on this morning, but It's same...
Please help me mr/mrs...! Because that notebook is very important for me..

my notebook type is Acer aspire 4740G windows 7, I just bought it in May 2010 (just a month)

Did you do any hardware/software changes on your laptop recently?
You may try the below 2 methods, one by one, and check if this helps.
Method 1:
a. Click on Start button > All programs > Samsung > Battery Life Extender > Battery Life Extender.
b. Click "yes" if prompted.
When the program launches you should have the option to go back and forth between 100 and 80% on your battery.
c. Select this option and check for the issue.
Method 2: You may also try these steps which has helped few in resolving such issues.
a. Turn off your computer/laptop and let it cool down.
b. Unplug the power supply and take the battery out for about 5min.
Clean its connections then put it back on your laptop to charge it again.
c. Turn on the computer and see if it charges to 100%.
For further assistance I would recommend you to contact its manufacturer.

Make Sure that your Computer Meets the System Requirements
Microsoft Windows Requirements :
- 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
This error can be due to some configuration requirements for you system. If your PC hardware is not up to par, then make sure you upgrade where necessary before continuing.
