I would suggest you to use the Internet Explorer in No Add-ons mode and check if the issue persists.
To run in No Add-ons mode –
Click Start, and then type Internet How to Fix - Help with a code? Explorer in the
Start Search box.
Click Internet Explorer (No Add-On).
Internet Explorer opens without add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
Test Internet Explorer Won't connect to network, Ipconfig shows media state disconnected, Ipconfig release and renew not functional to verify that it works correctly.

If it is Adobe Flash Player Up-dates Will Not Download. Manage Add-ons Does Not Show Anything Disabled. a pop-up you may turn off pop-up blocker, close Internet Explorer and then check if you get the asus drivers same pop up –

Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button.
In the search box, type Programs Compatibility Application Applications App Apps Game Games Legacy Crash Crashes Hang Hangs Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.

Machine Throttling

• Go to the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
• On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
