64 bit IE 8 working fine on Windows 7, but 32-bit IE8 freezing on start up

Hi,
I have both versions of the IE8 browser and was having the same 'adobe flash player' problem with the 64 bit version as everyone else, so I tried to use the 32 bit version and it keeps on freezing, even though the 64 bit version is working fine
Any ideas......

To check for Windows updates
