Hello.

Today, JUST after I "Windows updated," I twice got the disconcerting message:
"7.2.241.1enRegInstaller.exe stropped working and was closed
A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."

Any wisdom or experience with this? I'm on an elderly 64-bit HP Pavilion (dv7-1245dx) with that JUST-updated Windows OS (Vista Home Premium).

The solution has been found just uninstall bing bar, restart computer, and if you want bing bar just reinstall it.
This easy fix fixed my system. Bing even remembered all my points I amassed

In the Registry Editor, select the Error 0x9C-related key (eg. Windows Operating System) you want to back up.

In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save the Windows Operating System backup key.
In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".
In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.
Click Save.
The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.
