I have java 7 installed and working perfectly on my computer but I cannot open any jar files for some reason.
From what I've found online its usually because of a wrong jre.
Do I need to install java 6 instead? Please help!!

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.

  • Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
  • Click on Boot Tab
  • Tick Safe Boot in Boot Option
  • Select Network.
  • Click Apply and OK.
