Troubleshoot:Windows 7 will only start in safe mode! Error

Windows 7 will only start in safe mode!

I realize this question has already been answered, but none of the suggestions have worked for me.
My computer had some kind of Trojan/malware (Win 7 Antispyware) on it, and I coulnd't access the Internet or any files.
Based on suggestions from another
site, I started my computer in safe mode, and then restored it.
I then downloaded and ran a malware removal program (legitimate program from Cnet.com).
That found a bunch of adware/malware on the computer, and removed it.
Now I can only get the computer to
start in safe mode.
If I try to start it normally, it starts up, lets me log in, then the screen turns black, with a white cursor, and it stays that way.
I have to shut the computer down, and start it in safe mode to be able to use it all.
This is very frustrating,
because certain programs won't run in safe mode, and I don't have any sound in safe mode, either.
I am running Windows 7 on a newer Dell PC. Please help! Any not too technical suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Don't Download Malware

Where are you getting the download?

There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.

Cancel or deny any automatic download

Some sites may automatically try start a download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.

Avoid advertisements on download pages

To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Many advertisers try to trick viewers into clicking an ad with phrases like "Download Now", "Start Download", or "Continue" and that ad may open a separate download.
