Can someone share with me what I need to do to open pdf files on Vista (I have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed - but evidently that does not work for it).

I am unable to open pdf files on Vista.  I have Acrobat Reader installed (latest edition), but still cannot open them.  (I can open them from websites - but not those that have been downloaded to my computer or those I receive in emails.

Download Error Fixer (Free)

Run CHKDSK

• Go to the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "cmd" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• At the command prompt, type "chkdsk /r /f" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Reboot your computer.
