[Solution] all my icons on my desktop changed to Microsoft Offoce picture manager. Every time I ty to get into a program microsoft office opens up. How can I fix this?

all my icons on my desktop changed to Microsoft Offoce picture manager. Every time I ty to get into a program microsoft office opens up. How can I fix this?

While uninstalling programs and files, I clicked on a file to see if it was something I needed or not and it asked me to choose a program to open it with.  I did andso mething wrong and now all my desktop icons and all my programs changed to microsoft office
picture manager and everytime I try to get into internet or anything else, it opens up in Microsoft office word.  How can I fix this?  Thanks for your advice.

When you run an .exe file on a Windows computer, the file may start a different program.
Additionally, the icon for the .exe file may not appear as expected.
You may also receive additional errors from the .exe file
or from the program that starts.
 
Let's refer the following Microsoft KB article and follow the steps mentioned to check if it fixes the issue.

To install drivers and other optional updates
