An unknown Error has Occured

I have (now two) outgoing emails stuck in my "Outbox", I am running Windows Mail, with Vista Home Premium.

When I try to delete the email, it just says (an unknown error has occured), and now I can not sent out any emails at all.  When I look at the forums, I see that this is a very common problem.

However I do not know what the solution is,  please help!!
