Autoplay Won't Run in Windows 7 anymore.
Yesterday, I decided to watch a DVD. I inserted the disc into the drive, but the 'Ask Me' dialog box didn't pop up, which it usually does.
I went to Autoplay in Control Panel and changed the options, so that CDs and DVDs start in Windows Media Player.
When I inserted a DVD into the drive, Windows Media Player didn't automatically start. I've changed registry values for cdrom entry and the NoDriveType Autorun. But still there is the issue of Autoplay not working.
I was led to believe that Windows 7 was brilliant, but it isn't.
Any help is appreciated, but it needs to be easy enough for me to follow - no complicate instructions.

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.
- Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
- Click on Boot Tab
- Tick Safe Boot in Boot Option
- Select Network.
- Click Apply and OK.
- Reboot your System.
